The cottage “The gray wolf”
The design of this cottage is inspired by the tradition that the inhabitants of Boussières, called Boussièrois, are also nicknamed “the wolves”, because they had in the past the reputation of not being particularly altruistic, especially with the food, that sometimes lacked for all. Charles Beauquier wrote that: “The wolf of Boussières eats their bread in their pocket” (without offering anyone) and this saying has remained in the proverbs of the place.
The wolf of the area, the gray wolf (or canis lupus), the first animal tamed by man and that in evolution will come to man’s best friend, the dog.
