The Franche-Comté legend of “La Vouivre”
La Vouivre, literally the “viper”, is an imaginary creature represented by a woman’s chest and a snake body, who wears a diadem on her head with a huge and precious ruby. Some versions of the legend see as the creator of the river Loue between the departments of the Jura and the Doubs.
At night, “la Vouivre” loves take a bath in the rivers and in the peaceful ponds of the Franche Comté region. It’s only when she takes her bath that she leaves the tiara on the shore, protected by hundreds of snakes that defend it from any thieves.
The layout of the cottage
The cottage is classified three stars and labeled three ears of the “Gites de France” circuit. It has an open space with a living room of 30 m2 and a kitchen very well equipped and decorated with references to the “Vouivre” legend. The kitchen is equipped with fridge, freezer, oven, induction hob and dishwasher. Also available : a coffee maker, a kettle, a toaster and a microwave oven.
Cleaning products for dishwashers and washing machines are also available.
The living room has a door-window that provides access to the terrace furnished with garden furnitures, that allow you to enjoy our accommodation.
BEDROOMS
The two attic bedrooms are located on the first floor. In the master bedroom, there is a double bed. In the second bedroom, there are 2 single beds and 1 futon bed.
Windows in each room are equipped with electric blinds with remote control.
Each bed is equipped with mattress covers, pillows and duvets with duvet covers.
A convertible sofa offers an extra bed.
Other equipment of the cottage
The bathroom has a 90CM × 90CM shower. Also provided a hair dryer and a washing machine with a clothesline. The toilet is separated from the bathroom.
Vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board are also available.
Finally, the cottage has a TV and is equipped with WiFi.
